Expository Workshop - Jonah & Nahum
April 22, 2026
- April 23, 2026
If we truly want to be faithful teachers of God’s Word, it’s important that we approach the Scriptures carefully to ensure we’re sharing its original message. Our workshops are here to support you in mastering these vital skills, and we’re excited to help you in these critical tasks.
During our workshop, participants will work through the books of Jonah and Nahum to refine their exegetical skills. They will receive instruction on hermeneutical principles and essential tools for uncovering the original meaning of biblical texts, along with guidance on translating their exegetical work into sermons or lessons. Participants will also join small groups to collaboratively practice these principles on assigned texts. Each day concludes with a session where God’s Word is preached.
Our guest speaker, Phil Johnson, is the executive director of Grace to You. He has been closely associated with John MacArthur since 1981 and edits most of Pastor MacArthur’s major books. He is an ordained elder and pastor at Grace Community Church and leads the GraceLife fellowship group with Mike Riccardi. Phil also founded several popular websites, including The Spurgeon Archive, The Hall of Church History, and the Pyromaniacs blog.
Lunch is provided both days of the workshop.
